Meet Yvonne Chiọma Mbanefo
Founder | Heritage & Legacy Strategist
With over two decades at the intersection of digital media, ancestral knowledge, and education, I help families, communities, and heritage-focused organisations capture and honour what matters most.
My work is rooted in a deep commitment to Black and African heritage, and in the transformative power of intergenerational storytelling. I’ve partnered with global institutions—from the BBC and British Library to DuSable Museum of African American History in Chicago, the UK Cabinet Office, and SOAS University of London—delivering strategies and frameworks that make legacy preservation practical, authentic, and inspiring.
As Executive Producer and Cultural Consultant of the groundbreaking digital film Equiano.Stories and co-founder of the International Igbo Conference, I strive to bring cultural clarity and educational value to every project, ensuring our heritage flourishes in the digital age.
